KC Bean

Mr. Bean is the founder of the firm. Prior to starting the Bean Law Office he was the Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for DEI Holdings, Inc., a sizeable publicly traded consumer electronics manufacturer. Mr. Bean is a registered patent attorney and has extensive experience in corporate and intellectual property transactions, and patent litigation matters. His practice areas include a broad range of business, intellectual property, and litigation matters, including business formation and corporate compliance, mergers and acquisitions, patent, trademark and copyright protection, technology transfer, patent, trademark and software licensing, research and product development transactions, domestic, international and OEM distribution agreements, supplier agreements and professional services agreements. He also has counseled established corporations on patent and trademark strategies designed to focus intellectual property resources to align with corporate objectives and maximize returns on IP assets, including conducting intellectual property audits and due diligence analysis in furtherance of company mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Bean holds a BS and JD. He is a member of the Licensing Executives Society, American Intellectual Property Law Association, International Trademark Association, American Corporate Counsel Association, San Diego North County Bar Association, and he is admitted to practice in California and before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
